Tegrant Corporation, Alloyd Brands has entered into a licensing agreement with MWV Corporation to manufacture and market Natralock security packaging, a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic clamshells. MWV’s Natralock paperboard-based packaging offers a theft-resistant, renewable solution that uses 50-60% less plastic on average than clamshells, without compromising security, durability or visibility. Natralock packaging features a proprietary, tear-resistant paperboard, sealed around a thermoformed blister creating a package that, according to the company, is nearly impossible to tear open in stores, but can quickly and easily be opened at home with scissors.
